What is Telemedicine?

Hi, this is a message from Dr. Pulido. I apologize but we are having difficulty fulfilling the technical requirements that are necessary for billing a telemedicine visit to your insurance company. I apologize for the inconvenience. To try to make up for this I am offering a $30 cash telemedicine phone call. Just follow the steps on our website and I will talk to you soon. Thank you for understanding. – Dr. Pulido, April 28 2020

Telemedicine allows doctors to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients at a distance using telecommunications technology. In plain language this means you can have a doctor’s appointment through a video chat on your smartphone. This is all runs through our trusted provider Doxy.me.

Is it safe & secure?

Yes. We use the most secure technology available that is HIPAA approved and are constantly updating our systems to stay ahead of the curve. Each appointment takes place in a closed off patient room, just as in a regular appointment.

Is it as good a regular appointment?

There are pros and cons. While you don’t get to shake the doctor’s hand or visit our very nice clinic, you still get a personal face to face interaction with only you & the doctor in a private setting. The quality of the video chat is good enough that the doctor can see anything you need to share. You will get the same amount of time as you would with a normal appointment.

Is it more expensive?

No, our pricing is the same or better as a regular appointment depending on your needs.

Can I still get prescriptions?

Yes, the doctor can prescribe medications as normal.
